The Red Car
Finding our name ~ Red Car Analytics!
As engineers in today's world, we are focused on a broader mission of decarbonizing the built environment, working toward a carbon-free planet by driving solutions to higher building and energy efficiency, and performance.
On a train, the engine is the first car, with the power to propel the rest of the train forward. Before the 1980s, the last car on every train was a caboose, usually painted red, but sometimes painted in colors to match the engine at the front of the train. The purpose of the caboose was to provide a rolling headquarters for the train's conductor, brakemen, and crew by providing shelter to sleep and a place to keep records. This last car was an easy exit for the crew to handle switching or to inspect the train for problems, such as braking issues, shifting loads, broken or dragging equipment, overheated axle bearings and derailment threats.
Like the caboose, we are the Red Car, built on the strength of teamwork and the love for the field of building consulting.
And, like a train, we offer "bookend services" in building design, by providing energy modeling and analysis upfront and commissioning and validation of operations at the end.
